Burglar captured after 12 years on the run

Vadodara: A burglary 12 years ago has landed a man who had settled in Vadodara in the clutches of police. The man was apprehended from Kotna near Vadodara by Panchmahal police . Hemraj alias Raju Kharadiya, was from a village in Limkheda taluka of Dahod district.

He allegedly committed a burglary in Halol town of Panchmahal district in 2012, after which he absconded. Sources said others involved in the offence were arrested, but Kharadiya managed to evade the long arm of the law. As part of its drive to apprehend persons on the run for long periods, the parole-furlough squad of Panchmahal police began gathering intelligence on Kharadiya.



Sleuths learned that the accused was living in Kotna near Vadodara. He was nabbed from the village, which is on the banks of the Mahi river, and handed over to Halol police..
