Bulbrite, a manufacturer and supplier of energy-efficient lighting solutions, announces its grand opening in Summerville's state-of-the-art distribution center. The event was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Bulbrite’s President, Cathy Choi, along with local Summerville business advocates, including Bert Walling from the Berkeley Electric Cooperative and a local Habitat for Humanity chapter representative. This new facility marks a milestone for the family-owned business, which has been in the lighting industry for more than 50 years.

Bulbrite started shipping out of the Summerville facility in September 2023. “We are thrilled to officially open our new distribution center in Summerville,” said Cathy Choi, president of Bulbrite. “This marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for our company as we continue to expand and invest in the communities we serve.

As a family-owned business, we are deeply committed to supporting local economies and creating new opportunities for growth.” Bulbrite representatives said the new distribution center is expected to significantly boost the local economy, creating new jobs in the region and establishing Summerville as a key hub for Bulbrite’s operations. The 115,000-square-foot facility is equipped with advanced logistics technologies, enabling the company to streamline operations, improve delivery times and enhance customer service nationwide.

Local Summerville leaders were on hand to welcome Bulbrite to the community, recognizing the positive impact the new facility will have on the local economy and employment opportunities in the area. These include Habitat for Humanity, which Bulbrite is excited to partner with on many projects to support local communities. “Bulbrite’s move to Summerville marks an important step in the company’s long-term growth strategy,” according to a press release.

“It furthers its mission to provide top-quality, energy-efficient lighting solutions while maintaining the personal, customer-focused approach that has been the business's hallmark for decades.” For more information about Bulbrite and its products, visit www.bulbrite.
