Godwin was carted off the field with an air cast over his left leg. An air cast is typically used for more serious injuries to keep limbs secure.
Godwin suffered the injury after making a catch and being tackled to the turf. As Godwin laid on the turf, his left leg can be seen twisted the wrong direction. After medical personnel tended to Godwin and applied an air cast to his leg, his Buccaneers teammates were distraught as they surrounded him.

Footage of Godwin not being able to walk at all and being taken to the trainers room emerged after the Buccaneers loss. Initial fears surround a dislocated ankle for Godwin, with the injury likely ending his season. Godwin is also set to be a free agent at the conclusion of this season.

The Buccaneers had already lost top wide receiver Mike Evans to a leg injury earlier in the game. Godwin has spent his entire NFL career with the Buccaneers since entering the league in 2017.
