The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been totally devastated by injuries at the wide receiver position lately, which could leave general manager Jason Licht searching for help ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline with the Bucs fully in contention. The Bucs lost Chris Godwin for the season due to a dislocated ankle , and it looks like Mike Evans will be out through the bye week.

Head coach Todd Bowles did say that the team would stick with its in-house options for now, which are Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer and Sterling Shepard. "For us right now, we’re excited to see our young guys play," Bowles said. "We had to play without some defensive guys this year, now we have to play without some offensive guys.

..We think we’ll fare pretty well with these guys.

” Safe to say, none of those three are guaranteed to pick up the slack, which is a problem for a 4-3 Buccaneers team that is competing for a division title and playoff spot. With the Buccaneers' concern at wide receiver, CBS Sports' Josh Edwards predicts the team will strike a deal with the Los Angeles Rams for wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Los Angeles has been riddled with scheme-changing injuries and now finds itself in the basement of the NFC West.

Tampa Bay is dealing with injuries to both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Kupp has familiarity with Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen dating back to their time together with the Rams. While reports say the Rams are looking to trade Kupp for a second-round pick, head coach Sean McVay said on Thursday night that the team plans on keeping him , so take that for what it's worth.

If Tampa Bay was able to land Kupp, he would be a massive upgrade. He can replace Godwin in the slot and also offers the ability to line up outside. As far as getting a second-round pick is concerned, that's highly unlikely after what we've seen other top receivers get traded for.

More than likely, the Rams could get a third-round pick if they pick up some of Kupp's salary, which the Buccaneers would need them to do. The 31-year-old does come with some risk thanks to his age and recent injury history, but he's also a potential multi-year solution with his contract having two more years on it after 2024. But there is also an out for the Bucs if things go south, with Kupp only having $5 million guaranteed over the final two years of the deal.
