Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing have cemented their partnership for the foreseeable future. The announcement of a multi-year contract extension ensures that Wallace will continue to drive the No. 23 Toyota for the racing team he joined in 2021.

Since joining 23XI Racing, Wallace has made his mark, securing memorable victories at Talladega and Kansas. Despite a challenging recent season which saw him miss out on the playoffs, Wallace remains a foundational component of the team's future plans. The team, co-owned by Denny Hamlin and , posted the news to social media, writing: "From day one Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI.

We're excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed." From day one Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI. We’re excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed.

This comes after 23XI Racing refused to sign the new NASCAR charter agreement by the deadline, which cast some doubt on Wallace's racing future. The team revealed in a statement, as previously reported by : "23XI decided to not meet a NASCAR-imposed deadline last night to sign Charter agreements for its two cars for 2025-2031. 23XI's position, as stated in a letter to NASCAR, is that we did not have an opportunity to fairly bargain for a new Charter contract," .

"We notified NASCAR what issues needed to be addressed, in writing, at the deadline. We are interested in engaging in constructive discussions with NASCAR to address these issues and move forward in a way that comes to a fair resolution, while strengthening the sport we all love. "At 23XI Racing, we remain committed to competing at the highest level while also standing firm in our belief that NASCAR should be governed by fair and equitable practices.

" The possibility of 23XI Racing recruiting a third driver is bolstered by reports from , indicating that Riley Herbst, Xfinity Series competitor with a strong sponsorship from Monster Energy, is a prime candidate. While Herbst's future remains undecided, Pockrass notes: "With the team already having a Monster Energy relationship, adding Riley Herbst and his Monster deal would make sense. But Herbst has indicated his future is still not set.

"Corey Heim is the team's driver of the future. But he might be a year or two away from being fully Cup ready. Despite the charter drama, 23XI Racing has been hiring employees to fill a third car for next year.

" Herbst, currently racing full-time in the Xfinity Series for Stewart-Haas Racing, achieved a notable victory at Indianapolis in July and secured a spot in the playoffs beginning on September 28 at Kansas. His eight starts in the Cup Series have earned him two top-ten finishes..
