BTS ‘s Jin previously made his comeback with a solo album after completing his mandatory military service. The album, Happy , was released on November 15, 2024, and included six new songs. Around half a year later, he is officially making his solo comeback in May 20205 with the release of a new mini album, Echo .
On April 15, 2025, BigHit Music announced that Jin will drop his second mini album on May 16 at 1 PM KST. According to the agency, Jin’s decision to return so soon stems from his desire to see and connect with his fans more often. The upcoming album is described as a project that captures the diverse moments in life as they resonate like echoes — each unique in form and emotion.
Jin reportedly presents these universal stories and feelings from his own perspective, blending sincerity with a touch of wit. The album will feature seven tracks, continuing the use of band-based sounds, much like his previous release, showcasing his consistent musical taste and artistic direction. T o build anticipation for the release, BigHit Music spent big bucks, airing videos for Echo in public.
Promotional videos featuring Jin began airing on April 15 at K-POP SQUARE MEDIA in COEX, Gangnam, Seoul. The video promotion will run from April 15 to 19, screening every 30 minutes between 6 AM and 11:30 PM KST. In the video, Jin is seen inside a crane game filled with plush toys, pulling out a banner that reveals the album’s release date — “ May 16 .
