Read More BTS member J-Hope’s latest single, Mona Lisa , released on March 21, has taken the music charts by storm. The track made a powerful debut on the Billboard Hot 100, securing the No. 65 spot on March 31.

This achievement places J-Hope on par with Jungkook for the most Hot 100 entries by a K-pop solo artist. Additionally, Mona Lisa set a new benchmark, breaking J-Hope’s own record for the highest-charting K-pop debut of 2025. His previous solo release, Sweet Dreams, had debuted at No.

66 earlier this year. J-Hope now boasts seven songs on the Billboard Hot 100, tying with his BTS bandmate Jungkook for the most entries by a K-pop soloist. They are followed by BTS’ V and Jimin, along with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who each have six songs on the chart.

Before Mona Lisa, J-Hope had previously entered the Hot 100 with his solo tracks Chicken Noodle Soup (No. 81), More (No. 82), Arson (No.

96), on the street (No. 60), and LV Bag (No. 83).

Mona Lisa is a fusion of hip-hop and R&B, where J-Hope draws parallels between a person’s allure and Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic painting. The song conveys a deeper message, emphasising that true beauty comes from within rather than being limited to physical appearance. As per Billboard, Mona Lisa received approximately 90% of the votes, surpassing other recent music releases.

Among the competitors were Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s I Said I Love You First, Jack Harlow and Doja Cat’s Just Us, Jonas Brothers’ Love Me to Heaven, and Morgan Wallen’s I’m a Little Crazy and Just in Case. Reportedly, Mona Lisa also debuted at number one on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart this week, making it the best-selling song of the week in the United States. In addition, it debuted at No.

9 on the Global Excl. U.S.

chart and No. 14 on the Global 200. Meanwhile, J-Hope re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No.

29, marking his 14th week on the chart as a solo artist. Meanwhile, J-Hope’s “HOPE ON THE STAGE" tour in North America will conclude with final concerts in Los Angeles on April 4, 6, at BMO Stadium. He will begin the Asia tour with concerts in Manila on April 12-13, followed by Siatama (April 19-20), Singapore (April 26-27), and others.
