Jaisalmer: The Border Security Force (BSF) Friday nabbed a Bangladeshi national at Hamiro ki Basti near Sum area in Jaisalmer . The man has been identified as Mohammad Fazal (30). He was transferred to Sam police station for questioning before being moved to joint interrogation team for comprehensive interrogation by various security and intelligence agencies.

Sources said during preliminary questioning, the suspect claimed that he flew to India with legitimate documents three years ago. However, he continued residing illegally after his visa expired. He remains reticent about his passport, mobile phone, additional documentation, whereabouts and associations.

Despite reportedly hailing from an affluent, distinguished Bangladeshi family, he maintains silence regarding his activities in India, sources said. The paramount concern remains how a foreign national penetrated the heavily fortified and strategically sensitive border area of Jaisalmer without valid documentation. Questions persist regarding potential broader implications and whether he operated independently or within a network.
