Bryce Mitchell and Jean Silva settled their intense rivalry in the Octagon on Saturday night. Earlier this week, the featherweight duo stole the show during the UFC 314 pre-fight press conference. Bryce Mitchell cracked up fans with his hilarious response to his opponent threatening to retire him.

Silva seemed intent on showboating and trash-talking, annoying the UFC commentators and fans inside the 19,500-capacity arena. Silva landed a spinning back kick before locking up a guillotine choke as he started to get serious about finishing the fight as the first five minutes came to a close.



The Fighting Nerd scored an early knockdown in the second stanza before shrugging off all the grappling attempts of his submission specialist opponent. In the end, he locked up a choke of his own and forced Mitchell to tap out for the second time in his 20-fight career. However, Mitchell’s tap came too late, and he was left unconscious on the UFC Octagon floor.
