Director Scott Cooper was also seen on the set and he too enjoyed a chat with the rocker. Deliver Me From Nowhere was adapted from a book of the same name written by Warren Zane. Cooper, the film's writer and director, called the production an 'incredibly humbling and thrilling journey.' 'The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life's trials and resilience resonates deeply with me,' Cooper said in a statement to Variety.
'Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes' compelling narrative of Bruce's life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honoring Bruce's legacy in a transformative cinematic experience.' Filming will primarily take place in locations throughout New York and New Jersey, but occasional scenes will be shot in Los Angeles. Allen's co-stars include Jeremy Strong, Odessa Young, and Stephen Graham.
The Shameless actor was a 'top choice' to play Springsteen, and was confirmed as the film's lead in April. White revealed to Deadline in September how 'excited' he was to star in the film.
