The 20-year-old, the eldest son and teammate of LeBron James , has endured a brutal start to life in the NBA after being drafted by Los Angeles . Before Thursday's trip to the nation's capital, Bronny had not scored a point in the NBA since November - a run stretching nine games.
He was sent down to the G-League by head coach JJ Redick but against the Wizards, James Jr. scored a career-high five points as the Lakers earned a blowout win. Washington has now lost 16 straight games but Wizards supporters nevertheless enjoyed themselves at Capital One Arena.

His dad led the way with 24 points and 11 assists, while Bronny entered the game at the start of the fourth quarter and played the entire final 12 minutes. He made one of his six field goal attempts - a three-point play for the second bucket of his NBA career which drew a heartwarming reaction from his father on the sideline.
Rui Hachimura added 22 points, while Shake Milton chipped in 21 points off the bench as the Lakers won their fifth game in six tries. Austin Reaves had 17 points, Max Christie followed with 13 and Jaxson Hayes paired 10 points with 10 rebounds. Dalton Knecht also scored 10 off the bench.
