A new play exploring dark themes of friendship, love, and betrayal is set to premiere at Brighton Fringe. "With Ruby & I" is the debut play by Brighton-based writer Corrina O’Beirne, and it will be staged at the Lantern Theatre as part of the Brighton Fringe 2025. The story revolves around two friends, Mags and Ruby, who share a life of carefree fun in their sky-high flat.

However, their relationship faces turmoil when Tony, a character haunted by his experiences in The 'Ghan, returns. The complex web of relationships unravels further as Ruby grapples with the fallout of Mags's choices. The fast-paced dark comedy navigates the intricate dynamics of love, sex, friendship, and betrayal.

The play is produced by WLTM Productions, known for the comedy dating play "Would Like To Meet" and "Caitlin," a one-woman show about Dylan Thomas’s wife. Christine Kempell directs the debut play, featuring local Brighton actors Lexi Pickett, Rach Mullock, and Sam Cartwright. The play will be performed on May 3, May 22, May 23, and May 24, all at 9pm.

Tickets are priced at £12.50, with concessions available at £10.50.

They can be purchased from the Lantern Theatre box office and the Brighton Fringe box office. More information on the play and ticketing can be found at the Lantern Theatre and Brighton Fringe websites. This production promises an engaging and thought-provoking experience for the audience, exploring the darker corners of human relationships.
