The Brierley Hill Babybank is appealing for money to replace the van, which was damaged beyond repair in a not-at-fault car crash. The charity supports more than 100 families every month by delivering essential support packs but is struggling now their Fiat Doblo, which they call their "lifeline," is off the road. No one was injured during the crash on Friday, December 6, but the babybank cannot deliver their packs to families in need in the run-up to Christmas.

Brierley Hill Babybank founder, Maz Page, said they have "never done a plea like this to the local community before". She said: "Every pack makes such a difference and other services and the families themselves don't have the means of coming to collect them from us. "Our delivery driver is doing what he can, having taken business insurance out on his personal car out of his own pocket to deliver as many parcels as he can,.
