P&HCC program expansion Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) announced the expansion of its Building Trades Academy, reinforcing its longstanding commitment to workforce development and hands-on career training. The $2.6 million project, funded by the Workforce Pipeline Funds of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), will enhance the Academy’s training capacity while maintaining uninterrupted learning for current students.
The Building Trades Academy has long served as a resource for individuals pursuing careers in skilled trades, providing industry-relevant instruction and hands-on experience in fields such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry. This expansion will modernize existing facilities, introduce new state-of-the-art equipment and increase classroom and lab space to accommodate a growing student body. People are also reading.
