DESPITE scoring four tries, Bridgwater suffered their heaviest defeat of the season against their neighbours in Western Counties North over the weekend. Albion found themselves 40-11 down at the interval, all their points coming from winger Kyran Devitt who scored a try and two conversions.
Bridgwater continued to battle for every ball in the second half but Taunton snapped up their scoring opportunities and at one stage led 73-11. But Albion, to their credit, never dropped their heads and scored three tries towards the end - through Johnny Barnes, Gavin Knight, making his 150th appearance for the home side, and Devitt who rounded off the scoring. Devitt also converted one of the tries.
