According to reports, Suhrita Paul, who was recently appointed the principal of the institution following the August 9 rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor, was shunted out by authorities after students protested against her appointment to the post.
A students delegation met officials at the Swasthya Bhavan on Wednesday and demanded the removal of Paul from her post. Earlier, the students staged a protest march from CGO Complex (CBI office) to Swasthya Bhavan to press their demand for the removal of Suhrita Paul as the principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
