Newly acquired defenseman Brandon Carlo has had no issue adjusting to life in Toronto thanks to help from one Leafs forward that he uses to despise playing against. Acquired in a surprising last-minute deadline day deal from the Boston Bruins , Brandon Carlo has quickly adjusted to being a member of the Leafs, while providing some insulation as the Leafs wait for Chris Tanev to return from his shoulder injury . Carlo, along with Scott Laughton , will be making their home debut for the Leafs Thursday against the Florida Panthers after a pair of road games with the club, and while Carlo has not had much time to adjust to the city of Toronto, he credits Max Domi for the seamless transition into the Leafs' room.

Despite his lack of production on the ice this season, Domi is clearly a big part of the dressing room, especially now that Ryan Reaves is currently with the Marlies . Where Carlo will stay while he adjusts to Toronto is unknown, but it wouldn't come as a surprise if he became Domi's tenant for the time being as the team is finally home for more than a couple of days as they embark on a 4-game homestand. John Tavares is another player who has become known for his willingness to open up his home to new additions and rookies, so I'm sure Carlo will have options.
