BQE Water secures contract from Elsa Reclamation & Development to design, supply Water Treatment Plant

BQE Water ( OTCPK:BTQNF ) has secured a contract from Elsa Reclamation & Development Company to develop and implement a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the closure of the legacy Valley Tailings Facility (VTF) near Mayo, Yukon, on the traditional territory of the First Nation Na-Cho Nyak Dun. The WTP will manage water produced from tailings excavation and consolidation activities. This treated water will be safely released into the environment according to the Water Use Licence and relevant laws and environmental standards.

The primary goal of the treatment process is to eliminate heavy metals from the water. BQE's responsibilities include the engineering design, procurement of necessary equipment, site installation, commissioning, and start-up of the WTP. The project is slated for completion by the second quarter of 2025.
