MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Officers located a boy, 14, walking near Lander Elementary School Oct. 21 and learned that he was walking to Euclid. He explained that his mother had left him in Beachwood after they got kicked out of a hotel in which they had been staying.
Officers contacted the mother, who yelled and told them to keep the boy because he had got them thrown out of the hotel for damaging their room. The boy ended up waiting at the police station for five hours while officers tried to find a family member to come for him. RECOMMENDED • cleveland .
