A 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed near the town centre. Police were called to John Street, Rochester , just before 8.30pm last night to reports someone had been assaulted.
The teenager was found with stab wounds, which aren’t described as life-threatening, before being taken to a London hospital. One woman who was at the scene wrote on social media how she helped the young boy. “I was there, he seemed to be fine when I was holding pressure on the wound for him,” she said.
“Most of the street was taped off he’s in hospital now.” An investigation to determine the full circumstances is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/209377/24.
