Boy, 16, taken to hospital after stabbing

Police are investigating after a young boy was stabbed near a town centre.

A 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed near the town centre. Police were called to John Street, Rochester , just before 8.30pm last night to reports someone had been assaulted.

The teenager was found with stab wounds, which aren’t described as life-threatening, before being taken to a London hospital. One woman who was at the scene wrote on social media how she helped the young boy. “I was there, he seemed to be fine when I was holding pressure on the wound for him,” she said.
