Kiri Cullen, who set up All Steps First Dance, was spotlighted at the House of Lords during a special International Women’s Day event. She was one of 100 female business founders celebrated by Small Business Britain as part of their annual #iAlso100. This list recognises the most inspiring female entrepreneurs of 2025.
The event was part of Small Business Britain’s f:Entrepreneur campaign, which highlights the significant contributions of female business owners to the UK economy and society. Kiri was recognised for her entrepreneurial journey, which includes running her dance business, hosting a health and wellbeing podcast and hosting a show on Hot Radio in Poole. She said: "It was such an honour to be invited to the House of Lords and being surrounded by so many inspiring female business owners, a truly inspiring day.
" The event at the House of Lords brought together hundreds of female entrepreneurs to celebrate their contribution to the economy and their positive impact on society. Research from Small Business Britain and Starling Bank found that 80 per cent of women feel more confident in their abilities after launching their businesses, with 87 per cent feeling happier. Kiri enjoyed afternoon tea and networking in Westminster, meeting other founders from across the country and representatives from the Government and the King’s Trust.
Michelle Ovens CBE, founder of Small Business Britain, said: "The drive and determination of women-led businesses across the UK is nothing short of remarkable. "Despite the entrepreneurial load of running a business, women are demonstrably happier and more confident for taking on that challenge and making a huge impact through their businesses." Launched in 2017, the f:Entrepreneur #iAlso100 campaign aims to recognise the contributions of women business owners.
The campaign, now in its ninth year, continues to celebrate the success of female entrepreneurs in the UK, despite ongoing economic challenges. The campaign offers events, training, and networking opportunities to help female founders across the country grow and succeed. Small Business Britain leads the f:Entrepreneur campaign, which tells the stories of successful female business owners to inspire others in the small business community.
