Gurgaon: A group of customers allegedly assaulted four bouncers of a nightclub in Sector 30 after being told not to disturb other visitors, leaving one of them with severe head injuries. According to police, the incident occurred at Ebowla Club during the early hours of March 26. A group of nine youngsters — who had arrived to party earlier in the evening — argued with the security staff when they were denied re-entry into the club after exiting it later that night.

This led to the clash. Four bouncers — Sachin from Sector 12, Rahul of Sector 30, Rachna from Mahipalpur, and the security in-charge, Parveen from Jhajjar — were injured in the assault. Parveen, who was hit in the head, is undergoing treatment at AIIMS.

Sachin told TOI the group of customers entered the club at 9.15pm on March 25. "Their entry in the club register was made with the name Karthik.

Around 1am, some members in the group started creating a ruckus — two of them started doing push-ups inside the club. As other customers raised an objection, our in-charge, Parveen, spoke to the group and requested them not to disturb the others. At that time, three members of the group left the club, and their wrist tags were removed by the staff at the exit," he added.

A little later — around 1.30am — the trio tried to get inside the club again, but were stopped at the gate. They called their friends outside, leading to an argument.

"They suddenly started raining blows and punches on us. Some of them wore kada (steel bangle) and used them to attack the four of us. Parveen suffered a deep head injury and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS.

He has been unconscious since the assault. Rahul had a cut on his finger. I suffered bruises on the neck and chest.

Rachna also had a bruise. We underwent treatment at the Civil Hospital," Sachin said. Sachin named some of the accused in his complaint, including Shivam, Dev and Himanshu of Noida, and Paras from Lucknow.

A case was registered at Sector 40 police station under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 190 (unlawful assembly), 191 (2) (rioting), and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS. "We are verifying CCTV footage at the club and trying to identify the accused," said inspector Lalit Groha of Sector 40 police station.
