The Fitness Lodge on Elm Road, Leigh, has risen rapidly as the gym of choice for fitness fans, offering a range of small-group training sessions that have earned it glowing recognition from the community. Owner Pascal Craymer took over the gym just four months ago in January having been a trainer there for six years beforehand, and expressed her gratitude to the gym members who have supported her as she navigated taking over the business. After winning, thanks to votes from Echo readers, she said: “I took over the company in January, so to get everyone behind us so quickly is just amazing.
“Our success comes from our community, 100 per cent. We have such a great environment, everyone is so friendly. It feels like a family.
“We concentrate on small groups to give a more personal feel, instead of large numbers of people like at bigger corporate gyms. “The energy here is incredible, we uplift each other and celebrate every achievement, big or small.” As well as the community spirit built into the foundations of the gym, Pascal also highlighted the skill and motivation of her five other trainers who each have a specialisation ranging from lifting to Pilates as key to winning.
Pascal said: “Our trainers are truly exceptional, each one brings a unique style and expertise making our members feel empowered and motivated. They go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels included and supported on their fitness journey. “We definitely didn’t know we were going to win, so when we found out we had a little party at the gym to celebrate – which is not something we usually do.
” While she has achieved rapid recognition for what she has achieved at The Fitness Lodge, Pascal is keen to push forward with the gym and carry on helping people achieve their fitness goals for many years to come. She said: “I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for the support and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us as we grow together, continue to build our community, and create a welcoming space for all.”.
