According to a report in Indian Express, Rohit has requested additional time with his family and will join the team for the second Test in Adelaide, scheduled to commence on December 6, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been informed. With Rohit missing the first Test, the team's vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will take charge as stand-in captain for the Perth match.
Rohit is scheduled to rejoin the team for the Adelaide Test, starting December 6, where he will resume his captaincy duties.
