Diljit Dosanjh has become a global sensation. From selling out arenas all over the world to acting in projects like Amar Singh Chamkila, the star has seen an immense rise in his popularity. In an exclusive chat with Zoom, producer Boney Kapoor, who is going to work with him in No Entry 2, revealed that years ago, he wanted to make a film with Diljit and Priyanka Chopra! Boney Kapoor talks about shelved film with Diljit-Priyanka When asked about Diljit Dosanjh, Boney had high praises for the singer.
He said, "I'm proud of him. I'm very proud of what he has achieved and what he's achieving. He is risen.
" He then revealed that he wanted to work with Diljit for years and almost cast him in a film opposite Priyanka Chopra. He recalled, "In fact, you know, I wanted to cast him in a film which we had planned about six, seven years before Priyanka migrated to the U.S.
, before Quantico. In fact, she had loved the subject that we were planning. " Boney on casting Diljit in No Entry 2 However, the film never got made.
Boney then said, "For one year, one and a half years, two years, we waited for her. When I used to speak to her, she said, I have the script next to me, and every night I think of this and imagine myself. In that particular film, we wanted Diljit opposite her, and we had met Diljit and we had told him that you'll be opposite her in the film, playing her husband.
So our relationship is that old." The producer said that he is happy that Dosanjh is a part of his new film. "And today again, there's a God-given opportunity that he will be part of No Entry Part 2, ", concluded Boney.
