A Bolton Council team has been recognised at a national awards ceremony. The local authority's land charges team, part of the planning department, was named runner-up in two categories at the 2025 Land Data Local Land Charges Awards. The team was recognised in the Local Land Authority Searches Team of the Year and the Best in Metropolitan Councils - Customer Satisfaction Award categories.

Organised by Land Data, the awards aim to celebrate the work and achievements of Local Land Charges departments across England and Wales. The land charges team is responsible for carrying out local authority searches, which assess the area and land where a property is located.
