The owner of a chippy has described his "extreme" happiness after winning a prestigious award. Chip&Go at Bolton Market has won the Good Food Award for Takeaways 2024. The chippy, which has been based in town for a little over two and a half years, will have the mark until December next year.
It is known for its loaded chips, with toppings including butter chicken masala, chilli, a deconstructed burger and chicken fajita. Owner, Sebastian Coman, said he was delighted to win the award. "It's amazing to win a prize such as this. If I am not mistaken, it was from over 67k nominations. "This means a lot for me, the hard work and dedication and the challenges we overcame reach this milestone.
