The firm is known for its accounting, taxation, and business advisory services, with a particular focus on digital technology solutions. Cowgills' managing partner, Paul Stringer, said: "We’ve been highly selective in choosing firms that share our values and culture—ones that will truly benefit and enhance our business. "The team at NRB embodies everything we stand for, and their expertise will be a tremendous asset strengthening our presence in Wigan and Lancashire.
"Their knowledge in digital technology also presents exciting new opportunities for our clients and our firm." Cowgills became part of the Sumer Group in early 2024, which provided the backing for this acquisition strategy. Catherine Rogers of NRB said: "Having been established in Wigan for over 75 years, our priority was ensuring any merger was with a firm that our team and clients could trust completely.
