Body found near Nellie McClung Park deemed homicide: EPS

Article content A man who was found dead near Nellie McClung Park on Sept. 14 was shot to death, said police. At about 9 a.

m. on Saturday, people walking in the river valley near 100 Street and 91 Avenue came across an injured man, said police in a release. Emergency crews declared the man dead at the scene.



An autopsy on Sept. 17 confirmed that Brandon Lee Cardinal, 30, died of a gunshot wound, and his manner of death is deemed to be homicide. Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to the shooting to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
