BOC intercepts ₱10.2M worth of ‘shabu’ hidden in PVC window shipment

219 million, the shipment originated from the United States and was falsely declared as a “Black Vinyl Window Made Out of PVC.” The shipment was flagged for physical examination during the initial profiling of advance copies of documents on January 19, 2025. Upon arrival the following day, it also underwent x-ray scanning by the X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), which revealed unusual images.

Marcos Jr.

’s call for a unified government approach to combat drug smuggling. District Collector Jairus Reyes commended the operation, stating, “This successful operation highlights our dedication in safeguarding our borders through increased vigilance and close cooperation with our partner agencies.” A Warrant of Seizure and Detention was issued against the subject shipment for violations of Section 118(g), Section 119(d), and Section 1113 paragraphs (f), (i), and (l) of R.

A. No. 10863, or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), in relation to R.

A. No. 9165.
