Nigerian Controversial Crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has finally left the country. This occured just days after Bobrisky was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Lagos State’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport when he tried to board a KLM aircraft to Amsterdam. His arrest immediately went viral on the internet when he informed his followers that he had been hurt while being removed from the plane , “Nigerians, help me, EFCC just arrested me”.

Following that, he was brought to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, where he was questioned over allegations that he had bought off EFCC officials to have previous money laundering charges dropped against him. Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, posted a voice message in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have given N15 million to EFCC authorities in order to stop the allegations. Late Friday night, Bobrisky apparently finished the required procedures and was released on bail.

The release was confirmed on Saturday by EFCC spokeswoman Dele Oyewale, who declined to provide any information. During his interrogation, Bobrisky, however, refuted all allegations of bribery, questioned the veracity of the voice message, and demanded that the person who sent it provide proof. Bobrisky posted a video of himself in an airplane on his Instagram page on Monday morning, captioning it, “See you soon, Nigeria.
