CHENNAI: A cameraman for a private Telugu television channel was killed in a road accident near Maduravoyal, Chennai. The victim, Pradeep Kumar (39), was riding a two-wheeler when it was hit by a speeding BMW car. Pradeep Kumar was riding the Rapido bike as his part time job.

The car, which was registered in the name of a private company in Velappanchavadi, was being driven by a driver named Murugan. According to police, Murugan was driving the car after dropping off a passenger at the airport and lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident. The car's airbags deployed, and it traveled for about a kilometer before coming to a stop.

The sensor of the car failed, police said when Murugan fled the scene, and police are currently searching for him..
