The discount retailer is a firm favourite among Brits, where they can save money on big brands and everyday items such as groceries, popular cleaning products, home accessories, toys and more. Just some of the new B&M stores opening in the next few months are in County Durham, Cumbria, and Carlisle, with many more to come. The next site set to open this year is in Shepshed, Leicestershire on Saturday, April 26.
B&M launched 45 new stores last year and in its latest trading update, announced that it planned to expand by the same amount throughout 2025, as reported by . Currently, the chain has around 772 shops around the UK, but it’s aiming to have 1,200 in total. In November last year, B&M revealed it had converted 44 of the 52 former Wilko locations it took on, after Wilko fell into administration back in August 2023.
The budget retailer said it was performing “in line with our expectations and is generating strong returns”.
