BluSmart , an electric vehicle ( EV ) ride-hailing and charging network in South Asia, has reported a 77% year-on-year increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), reaching Rs 275 crore for the first half of the 2025 fiscal year. This marks a rise from Rs 155 crore in the same period last year, attributed to increased demand for sustainable transportation. The company anticipated a further boost in ridership during the festive season, with projections suggesting a 50% increase in total rides and a 60% rise in unique riders from October to December.
BluSmart co-founder Punit Goyal highlighted the role of growing rider trust and a shift towards eco-friendly options, noting an uptick in rentals, airport transfers, and daily rides. “The growth in revenue and GMV reflects both rider trust and the demand for sustainable mobility options,” he said.
