Blocked field goal leads to TD, West Greene win

FREDERICKTOWN – Lane Allison picked up a blocked field goal and ran one yard for a touchdown with 15 seconds remaining as West Greene rallied for a 29-22 win at Beth-Center on Friday night in the Class A Tri-County South Conference. West Greene (4-3, 4-6) trailed 22-21 before Allison’s late touchdown. Allison then threw a two-point conversion pass to Patrick Durbin.

Beth-Center (1-6, 1-8) grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter at 22-21 when Tagan Veatch ran 13 yards for a touchdown and Jonah Sussan added a two-point conversion run. Beth-Center led 13-0 in the first half. Sussan threw a 10-yard TD pass to Enzo Brown and DeSean Whipkey ran 39 yards for a score that made it 13-0.



West Greene rallied as Allison threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Burns and Colin White had scoring jaunts of two and 24 yards..
