Blandford school hosts first-ever Creative Arts Awards

A highlight was the recognition of two international awards at the Child of Hope School in Uganda.

The event on Tuesday, April 1 celebrated creativity and hard work in categories such as drama, dance, design technology, food, English and art. Each category had three nominees, with one overall winner crowned. A highlight was the recognition of two international awards at the Child of Hope School in Uganda.

Isaac received the International Student of the Year award, while Bono (Boniface) was given the International Mentor award. Both were celebrated for their impact on their community. The school has a strong relationship with this charity and frequently organises fundraising events to support its cause.



The event was attended by staff, students and parents and had an Oscar-like atmosphere. A spokesperson for the school said: "The Creative Arts Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the talent, dedication and creativity of students. "The PCA faculty, Blandford Creative Arts, showcases the exceptional work done in nurturing student creativity and we take great pride in their achievements.

"We hope more students will come and join us, continuing their unique career path into sixth form and beyond. "This event is something we look forward to making a tradition.".
