Blaenavon residents react to care home closure plans

Arthur Jenkins Care and Nursing Home is set to close in three months amid concerns from the owners over the sustainability of the building to provide their quality of care. Residents and families were informed in a meeting on September 4 by the joint owners of the site, Hafod and Torfaen County Borough Council. The team are aiming to minimise any risk of redundancy by offering the staff redeployment at other Hafod sites, none of which will be affected by this closure.
