The independent eight-screen cinema opened in May 2021 in the former Waves building in Nab Lane in the town centre. Since then, the team has worked to create a welcoming and accessible experience for all ages, including baby-friendly screenings in morning and afternoon showings. It also supports local causes by partnering with organisations like Blackburn Foodbank and One Voice through collections, fundraising, and events. The group has a mission to bring cinema to underserved communities through smaller miniplexes, five to six-screen venues in towns often overlooked by larger chains.
