Black Orchids eye back-to-back Cup Sports Tok 7s

THE Bougainville’s Black Orchids rugby union team is determined to win back-to-back Cup titles in the Sports Tok Rugby 7’s tournament set for April 18-20 in Port Moresby. The Buka-based team has been hard at training over the past few weeks. Vice president of Bougainville Rugby Union and Black Orchids head coach Kelly Havara is adamant that the Black Orchids senior men’s outfit will have a good run and hopefully return home to the land of the rising sun victorious.

This year will also be the first time, Black Orchids will be entering a second team. “We will have a senior and our junior schools Orchids team taking part. “Unfortunately, we will not be entering a female team as a lot of our female players are students and are attending tertiary institutions outside of Bougainville.
