There aren’t many more satisfying things than scoring a kill in Black Ops 6 by throwing a grenade across the map . Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty game features a wealth of lethal equipment capable of dealing additional damage alongside an extensive arsenal of weaponry, but players are now finding it difficult to aim their tools of destruction. With Season 1 underway and the developer attempting to deal with a huge infestation of Ranked Play hackers , another issue is impacting players loading into the casual playlists.
Instead of thrown grenades following a straight trajectory, a glitch is forcing them to change direction mid-flight much to the bemusement of the player who chucks it. Black Ops 6 grenades aren’t behaving The Scud map features a partially destroyed satellite dish that acts as an excellent vantage point to see the rest of the battlefield. A small gap in the centre of the dish is a haven for snipers to excel in long-distance duels but also leaves them vulnerable to incoming explosives.
Typically, a Black Ops 6 frag grenade will follow a straight path landing at its intended target if the angle is correct. The glitch in question sees the grenade mysteriously change direction and land inside the satellite dish eliminating players attempting to gain the upper hand over the opposition. If the theory is to be believed, the trajectory of grenades on Scud is impacted by the position of the smaller rotating radar dish on the map.
The dish’s direction features an invisible collision area that impacts the grenade trajectory. Scud seems to be the only map where grenades are going rogue which is promising news if you’re concerned about grenades landing in the right place on other multiplayer maps. The anticipated release of Ranked Play was met with a huge influx of cheaters loading into matches to ruin the experience for legitimate players looking to get their fix of competitive action. Since Season 1 launched, Treyarch has released several smaller patches with the goal of addressing issues impacting players. With grenades flying around Scud and heading in the wrong direction, it’s another problem to add to a list that continues to grow.
