Staged reading of ‘Incognito Witch The Musical’ Pittsfield— On Saturday, October 26th at 2 p.m. , there will be a staged reading of “Incognito Witch The Musical,” a new musical play based on the paintings and short films by artist Mollie Kellogg.
“Incognito Witch The Musical” is a quirky and compelling dramedy about love and hidden magick. Played by Kellogg, “G,” the Incognito Witch’s journey is inspired by Kellogg’s own experiences. It is a beautiful story that whimsically addresses some of life’s tough challenges while empowering and entertaining at the same time.
Local artists and performers round out the cast, including Stefanie Weber, Shany Porras, Kristina Cardot, Mollie Kellogg, Monica Bliss, Monika Pizzichemi, Diane Firtell, Melissa Myers, Mark Hohlstein, Harryet Puritzman Candee, and Steve Mole. The band features Matt Deres on guitar, Jana Pfeiffer on banjo, and Mike Pfeiffer on bass. The two-act staged reading is blocked and costumed with actors holding scripts.
The musical is set to receive a world premiere at the Becket Arts Center on Saturday, March 8th at 2 p.m. The staged reading is on Saturday, October 26th at 2 p.

In its current location since 1986, the Berkshire Museum Aquarium has delighted the region with its array of fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The new aquarium will move to the first floor, doubling in size and tripling in volume. Before the current aquarium is closed, the public is invited to see the museum’s beloved animals in a rare after-hours showing.
There will be fish-themed food, craft tables, live animal demonstrations, a memory wall, and sneak peeks at the incredible new aquarium, opening in 2025. The event is on Thursday, October 24th from 5:30 p.m.

to 2 p.m. , Berkshire Film and Media Collective (BFMC) presents a production assistant workshop.
BFMC’s workshop will introduce you to the fundamental skills you need to be a Production Assistant (PA) on a film or television set. Workshop participants will engage with real-world scenarios and industry-standard practices covering everything from set preparation and craft service to roles and responsibilities and equipment management. The workshop will be led by Berkshire native Jake Diamond, who started as a Production Assistant six years ago and has worked his way up to be a first and second assistant director for film, television, and music videos.
Jake will personally guide attendees through the essential tasks and nuances of the PA role. “In this workshop, I aim to share not just the technical skills but also the invaluable insights and etiquette necessary to thrive in any production environment,” says Jake, who’s worked on projects for brands like Verizon, HBO, and Timberland, as well as several independent feature films.
