Florida is in the middle of their Week 10 battle with Georgia, but they were dealt a brutal blow in the second quarter when star freshman quarterback DJ Lagway was forced out of the game with what appeared to be a serious injury. And according to head coach Billy Napier, Lagway's injury status doesn't appear to be good. Lagway stayed on the ground after a short run in the second quarter, and was seen grabbing his hamstring.

The entire Gators team came onto the field to support Lagway as he was loaded onto a cart and taken off the field, which is never a good sign when it comes to injuries. While Florida holds a surprising 13-6 lead over Georgia at halftime, the only thing fans were concerned about was Lagway's status. When asked about the quarterback, Napier said that it appears he suffered a "pretty significant" hamstring injury, which would be a huge loss for Florida if that is indeed the case.

If they intend on holding onto this game against the Bulldogs, though, they are going to have to lean on their ground game, with Jaden Baugh and Ja'Kobi Jackson leading the way there. © Melina Myers-Imagn Images The hope is that Lagway's injury isn't as serious as initially believed, but the early signs aren't encouraging. A win over the No.

2 team in the country in Georgia would certainly help ease the loss of Lagway, but that's going to be easier said than done to accomplish without him under center. Napier doesn't seem too encouraged with Lagway's injury status, but it will be worth keeping an eye out for more information on him over the next few days. For now, Florida's sole focus will be on playing a strong half of football, as it could lead to a massive upset over Georgia.
