The second iteration of Fyre Festival has apparently been postponed indefinitely. Billy McFarland , who went to prison for fraud from the first attempt at the festival, has been working to organize a second, but has seemingly hit roadblocks. Earlier this month, he responded to claims by officials in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where the fest is said to be taking place, that the fest isn’t happening in the city, and there is no record or planning of such an event.
Now, those who have purchased tickets have reportedly received emails, notifying them that the event, scheduled to take place May 30th to June 2nd, has been postponed. Keep reading to find out more..

Once the new date is announced, at that time, you can repurchase if it works for your schedule,” a message sent to a ticket holder read, via ABC News . According to The Cut , an announcement on the website stated a similar message, “FYRE 2 Festival is postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date in the future. If you have purchased tickets already, you will receive an email once the new date is confirmed.
” Neither Billy nor the Fyre Festival Instagram accounts have shared any statements in regards to the postponement..
