The outlet also confirmed offensive tackle Zach Rice and defensive back Zion Ferguson had entered. And they were joined by linebacker brothers Cade Law and Crews Law.UNC has been linked with South Alabama quarterback Gio Lopez.

Lopez would step straight into the void left by Browne under center. The team also signed linebacker Mikai Gbayor from Nebraska.Belichick, 73, was appointed UNC head coach last December in a shock move.

It is his first job since leaving the New England Patriots in 2023 after a 24-year reign. The coach has been in the spot light recently more for his relationship with Jordon Hudson, 24.The pair stepped out onto the red carpet together at NFL Honors before the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Hudson was spotted on the practice field apparently helping coach Belichick. Her exact role with the team is not clear. But it was reported earlier this year that she is copied into all emails to the 73-year-old.

And a new report in The Athletic claims to have seen emails between UNC staffers and Hudson. In one correspondence, Hudson was claimed to have been speaking to the media relations department about the hire of Steve Belichick.Steve, 38, is son of head coach Bill, 73, and was hired to be UNC defensive coordinator.

He worked under his dad while at the New England Patriots.Hudson apparently played a role in framing Steve’s hire to make it clear it was not because he was Bill’s son.She wanted to emphasize that Steve was hired for his experience of being a college and NFL defensive coordinator.

The 24-year-old also asked to monitor the team’s social media feeds for comments about head coach Belichick. The Athletic report also claimed that Hudson’s email signature was “chief operating officer of Belichick productions.”.
