The news about Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has been the hot topic of discussion among the media, fans, audiences, and even the showbiz fraternity. While many came forward and showed their support towards Allu's arrest and court proceedings, which were followed by a night in jail, it seems like Bigg Boss 16 finalist Shiv Thakare has a different way of seeing the news. Shiv REACTS to Allu's arrest controversy Shiv, who has been a part of many reality shows, including BB Hindi and Marathi, recently attended the Lions award.
When the media asked the finalist what his take was on the whole Allu Arjun's arrest controversy, the actor rather decided to stay away from it. Shiv said, "Allu Arjun ander (jail) gaye hain na, yeh sad hai. Bheed (crowd) mein jo bhi hua vo bhi galat hi tha.
Woh kanoon (justice) ke hisab se chal rahe the and unhone bahut politely support bhi kiya hai iss pure matter mei. Ab uske beech mein hum artist kya bolenge?" Concluding his words Shiv said, "Dekhiye uss se dur hi raho zayada better hai." On one hand, many superstars came forward and showed their support towards the Phuspa actor; Shiv's response sounds more nonchalant, as if he did not really care about commenting about the same.
Allu Arjun's Arrest Speaking about what really unfolded, the Phuspa 2: The Rule actor had to spend a harrowing 18 hours of drama. From his arrest and court hearing to a night being locked in Hyderabad's Chanchalguda Central Jail, followed by the chaos surrounding his bail, Allu Arjun's life was filled with nothing less than unwanted drama. It all came in connection with a December 4 stampede that claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman.
The whole ordeal surrounding Allu's arrest began on December 13, 2024 (Friday). During the stampede where the 35-year-old woman lost her life, the same stampede left the deceased woman's eight-year-old son critically injured. The tragic incident unfolded during the crowded premiere of 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where thousands of fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of the star.
The woman’s husband filed a complaint alleging negligence by Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management, leading to a police case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Delay in Allu Arjun's Bail Police apprehended Allu Arjun from his residence in Banjara Hills on Friday, following which he was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a lower court. The actor’s legal team swiftly moved the Telangana High Court, which granted him a four-week interim bail later in the evening.
However, due to procedural delays in processing the bail order, the actor had to spend the night in jail as prisoner number 7697, sleeping on the floor of his cell. The situation prompted sharp criticism from his legal counsel, who described the overnight detention as “illegal” and vowed to pursue legal action against the lapse. Jail authorities said they did not receive the bail order in time and hence, could not process the release of the actor in time.
