The Big Ten announced on Monday afternoon that an incorrect call was made in the Ohio State vs. Nebraska game on Saturday afternoon. Ohio State topped Nebraska, 21-17, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.

The Buckeyes improved to 6-1 on the year with the win, while the Huskers dropped to 5-3. There were several questionable calls throughout the game on Saturday afternoon, but one bad one really stood out. The Big Ten Conference has since announced that the incorrect ruling was made.

The Big Ten Conference issued a statement on Monday. Jason Mowry/Getty Images In the second quarter, Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson rushed for a first down, on a 2nd and two from the 39-yard line, but the refs marked him short. Johnson clearly got to the 37-yard line, but the refs made the wrong call.

The Big Ten Conference has admitted that the wrong call was made. "During Nebraska's final drive of the first half, on second down with two yards to gain on the Ohio State 39-yard line, the ball was incorrectly spotted after a run by Cornhuskers RB [Emmett] Johnson. The ball carrier crossed the 37-yard line and a first down should have been awarded to Nebraska," the Big Ten Conference announced.

"Replay should have stopped the game to review the spot since it involved the line-to-gain." There were several bad calls in the game - including a questionable targeting penalty that helped extend Nebraska's final drive - but good for the Big Ten Conference for admitting a mistake..
