1 2 3 4 5 6 Prayagraj: With the expansion of infrastructure, civic amenities, road transport, development of health services and new industrial areas, Prayagraj has seen major transformational change during the eight-year tenure of Yogi govt in UP. The Yogi govt gave a new identity to the city in which the development of basic facilities in the district comes first. According to govt sources, in terms of infrastructure, 1,902 km of new roads were constructed in Prayagraj from 2017 to 2025.
Besides, 8,943 km of roads were maintained. "The infrastructure of the district has drastically improved in the past eight years, and presently we are moving ahead at a right pace , be it construction of the ring road or the proposed two bridges in the city, following, which the connectivity will further improve," said District Magistrate Prayagraj, Ravindra Kumar Mandar. Likewise, there has been a big change in condition of road transport in urban and rural areas in the last eight years.
With 50 electric buses and a 40-seater electric Atal bus service, the connectivity of towns with rural areas within a radius of 100 km has enhanced. Recently, 20 more rural routes have been identified which will be connected with the city. For investment in industrial establishment and employment generation, the eight years of the Yogi govt were unmatched.
In the last eight years, an investment of Rs 3,813.80 crore was made for the establishment of 69,633 industrial units in Prayagraj. This generated employment for 4,57,993 people in the district.
In terms of law and order, the bulldozer model of the Yogi govt was effectively used in Prayagraj. The govt tightened the noose around mafia Atiq Ahmed and his gang and along with sending his henchmen to jail, govt took action against his movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs 1,400 crore under the Gangster Act. The Yogi govt implemented police commissionerate system here and formed the Anti-Corruption Organisation Unit.
A new district jail was constructed in Naini. Similarly, a massive achievement was religious and cultural tourism getting recognition from Maha Kumbh. Prayagraj has become an important hub of tourism due to the vision and eight-year mission of the Yogi govt.
City is now a prominent tourist spot along with Kashi and Ayodhya. The reach of tourists in Prayagraj, which was 2% before 2017, increased five times and has now become 10%..
