President Joe Biden apparently kept the grieving families of the Marines who died during the botched U.S.-Afghanistan withdrawal so he could take a nap, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

While critics bashed Biden for checking his watch multiple times during the dignified transfer of remains for the fallen Marines, one of the Marines’ family members told the Daily Mail that wasn’t the worst part. “(Biden) made us wait an extra three hours to receive the bodies of our dead family members because he couldn’t pull it together,” Roice McCollum, sister of fallen Marine Rylee McCollum, told the DailyMail, the outlet reported . While McCollum and other families waited for the President, a military officer told them he was napping on his plane, the outlet reported.

“We sat in that office for what seemed like an eternity waiting on the doddering old fool,” Darin Hoover, father of Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover, told the DailyMail. A White House spokesperson told the Daily Mail “that claim is untrue.

” The dignified transfer of remains took place after a suicide bomber killed 13 U.S. service members outside of the Abbey gate of the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2021.

The attack took place amidst the U.S.’s chaotic troop withdrawal in Afghanistan, a withdrawal that emerging reports are revealing Biden had little to do with.

Biden’s top generals insist that the pullout was his call, according to the outlet, but other evidence suggests otherwise. Democratic Washington Rep. Adam Smith, chair of the House Armed Services Committee at the time of the withdrawal, claimed he couldn’t even get Biden on the phone to voice his objections to the withdrawal, according to the outlet.

Biden also allegedly forgot his own handwritten memo that argued against increasing U.S. military presence in the region, the outlet reported.

The DailyMail revealed the shocking allegations just days after a bombshell Wall Street Journal reported that Biden’s aides increasingly handled his responsibilities for him. Military, intelligence and media experts regard the withdrawal as a failure on multiple fronts. Aside from the public relations nightmare the images of desperate Afghans clinging to the outside of a departing jet inspired, the U.

S. also allegedly allowed over 65 known Afghan terrorists into the country amidst the chaotic fallout, the DailyMail reported ..
