Visakhapatnam: Bheemili police on Saturday busted a gang of robbers and arrested seven people involved in a series of thefts and other criminal acts. Police seized Rs 53,000, three cell phones and four motorcycles from their possession. The arrests followed a complaint by Munji Ryamaryav, a local welder, who reported a theft of cash and other valuables worth Rs 68,900.
On January 18, 2025, Munji received a call from an unknown number. The caller, a woman, inquired about the personal details of Munji. The next day, Munji was waylaid when he was returning home after dropping his daughter in Anandpuram Mandal.
Those who were arrested were Bangari Chakradhar, Dola Lakshmana Rao, Bariki Swami, Mulaparthi Venkatesh, Vasupalli Shyam Prakash, Suresh and Kuppili Asharani..
