Bharti Airtel’s B2B arm, Cisco launch network management solution for enterprises

NEW DELHI: Airtel Business , the enterprise arm of Bharti Airtel , and US-based telecom gear maker Cisco on Thursday launched the ‘ Airtel Software-Defined Branch’, a cloud-based and end-to-end managed network solution for enterprises. The solution, powered by the Cisco Meraki platform, the Airtel SD-Branch solution will enable the unified management of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), security and connectivity over multiple branch locations which will simplify enterprises’ network management and control functions. “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our revolutionary network solution for enterprises in the country, in partnership with ‘Cisco Meraki India Region’.

As per Cisco’s in-house research, 92% of companies in India have stated that their employees access company platforms from unmanaged devices, and 48% of those spend one-fifth of their time logged onto company networks from unmanaged devices, while 39% have reported that their employees hop between at least six networks over a week.



Accordingly, the companies said the Airtel SD-Branch solution offers capabilities such as central management of the network, dashboards, automated processes, advanced analytics and high-performance connectivity solutions that can be tailored to meet specific business requirements, allowing enterprises to gain more control of their branch networks.
